Note that the maximum link length is 2000 meters without
splicing.
Step 8.
Document the fiberĆoptic cable system layout. This
document should be maintained for the life of the
installation.
Step 9.
Determine the number of fiberĆoptic cable components
that are needed. Refer to Appendix G for more
information on recommended components.
K2.2
Installing the StandĆAlone Transceiver
The StandĆAlone Transceiver may be mounted vertically or
horizontally. Horizontal mounting is recommended, however, to
provide better access to transceiver LEDs, connectors, and
adjustments.
Use the following procedure to install the StandĆAlone Transceiver:
Step 1.
Prepare the mounting surface using the mounting
dimensions shown in figure K2.1 for the correct
placement of the holes.
