Computer interface problems
If you are having problems retrieving information from a PLC:
„ Check that the Ethernet cable is securely connected to the VersaView Computer.
„ Check if the Ethernet connection indicator lights confirm that data communication is
taking place.
„ Check that the Rockwell Software RSLinx software is running.
„ Verify that the RSLinx Topic defined for communication to the PLC matches those
used to configure interface points in the Discrete MPS Configurator application.
If you are having problems accessing Discrete MPS reports:
„ Check that the Ethernet cable is connected to the reporting computer securely.
„ Check if the Ethernet connection indicator lights confirm that data communication is
taking place.
„ Check that the VersaView Computer is visible to the reporting computer on the
network.
