Part Number: 01-571-xxxx

Date: 7/27/2012

Axle Hose Installation

Insert the airline fittings into the outer most tapped holes on the axle and tighten.

Place a piece of masking tape (or equivalent) over the end of the air line or plug the end of it
so no debris can get inside the line as it is being pushed through the axle towards the wheel
end.

Route the airline tubing through the fitting body and help feed it towards the end of the axle
until 6-8” of airline tubing is sticking out the spindle end. Make sure the airline doesn’t have
any kinks in it. You will need to put the grommet and the nut on the tubing before you start
feeding it through the air fitting body. Hand tighten the nut and grommet on the fitting.

Repeat procedure on other end of axle. Make sure when feeding airline tubing into axle it
heads towards the correct spindle end.

A continuous “loop” of tubing should span between the two fittings.

Flexible Conduit Airline Protection Installation

Place a piece of flexible conduit over tubing of each spindle end to help protect against sharp
edges of axle.

Center Vent Line Fitting Installation

Install the push lock fitting (1/4” NPT x 3/8” tubing) into the center tapped hole and tighten.

Install plastic protective cap over Axle Vent Fitting (to be supplied by Stemco).
