lights and various appliances. The floor plan, and size of the camping trailer dictates the
model and output size of the converter required.
Inside the converter is an electronic device which converts 120-volt AC incoming power to
12-volt DC output power. An auxiliary battery as correctly installed will be charged when
the trailer is connected to 120-volt AC power. The converter will supply power to
individual components through fuses located behind the converter face plate.

WARNING:
V Turn off all interior lights before folding the camping trailer to transit
as the bulbs may cause a fire hazard in the stored position and burn
holes in the tent.
V Do not block power converter ventilation.
Interior
All 12-volt power comes from the converter or the black lead in the wire harness from the
tow vehicle battery. Remember, to receive power from the converter, you must have a
120-volt energy source available. 120-volt power may be turned off or on by switching the
120-volt breaker in the converter.
The “bunk” light will attach to the bed bow brace with a clip on the back of the light. To
operate the light with 12-volt power, plug the cord into the receptacle located on the ceiling
light, front or rear. A switch to control the bunk light is built into the light assembly.
A camping trailer with a porch light will have the on/off switch built into the light
assembly. The bunk light may also be used outside by clipping it to the optional canopy.
When attached to the canopy, the bunk light will be connected to the porch light receptacle.
Auxiliary Battery (Independent, Authorized Dealer Installed Option)
All camping trailers are prewired to accept an auxiliary battery. The battery must be
hooked up directly to the red (positive) and white (negative) wires at the battery hold down
bracket near the trailer hitch.
The auxiliary battery will help miniminze tow vehicle battery discharge when 120-volt
power is not available.
A battery is required to operate the breakaway switch and also provides a source of energy
when traveling and camping.
All battery packages require an “in-line” fuse and holder attached to the battery for circuit
protection. Consult with an independent, authorized dealer for correct installation of the
auxiliary battery.

CAUTION: When drawing current from the tow vehicle battery, avoid
discharging the battery to a level at which the tow vehicle will not start.
All camping trailers have a ceiling light circuit fed through a master shut-off switch which
prevents 12-volt current from flowing to the ceiling lights with the roof lowered.
Periodically test the light and switch to be sure the switch adjustment is correct. The switch
is located along the bottom edge of the roof on the roadside of the unit.
