XP Continuous Access Components
XP Continuous Access operations involve the storage systems at the primary and secondary (remote)
sites, the physical communications paths between these storage systems, and the XP Continuous
Access software. XP Continuous Access copies the original online data at the primary site to the
offline backup volumes at the secondary (remote) site via the dedicated Fibre Channel remote copy
connections. The XP Continuous Access software is included in the Remote Web Console Java
application, and all XP Continuous Access functions and operations can be performed from within
a web browser.
Host failover software is required for effective disaster recovery with XP Continuous Access Software.
