PROblEM:
1. Shutter does not close completely
2. Shutter does not open when starting fan in
low speed, but does open when starting fan in
high speed.
3. After attempting Solution #2, shutter still
closes on low speed.
4. Shutter apparently operates properly with the
exception that it develops a rattle while in the
semi-open position.
SOlUTION:
1. Spring has too much tension. Remove end of
spring from tie bar and place in holes closer
to spring post, to reduce tension, and allow
shutter to close properly.
2. Fan should always be turned on high speed
first then to low speed, should that be the
desired operating speed. By going thru this
procedure, shutter should quickly open and
remain open during low speed operation.
3. You may find it necessary to move the spring
on the tie bar away from the spring post
another hole which will tighten the spring.
4. Increase the exhaust area for air to escape
from the attic.
