Purpose
The Back-up Machine Control Harness places a PowerTrak in the ‘open’ position in the event of a
back-up condition of the control panel, such as power failure.
Directions
1. Disconnect electrical power from PowerTrak and Controllers.
2. Install the Back-up relay inside the Farm Hand control box by using the self-adhesive backing on the
relay.
3. On the Controller that is to receive the Back-up Machine Control Harness, disconnect control wires
from the Controller (Common, and OPEN).
4. Connect control wires from the Back-up Machine Control Harness to the controller. Connect Yellow
wire to Common. Connect Brown wire to Open. Refer to diagram.
5. Connect wires having connectors from PowerTrak to Back-up Machine Control Harness. Connect
Yellow wire to Common. Connect Brown wire to Open. Refer to diagram.
6. Run Shielded wire out of the Farm Hand controller to Contact Panel. Refer to diagram.
7. Connect White wire of Back-up Machine Control Harness to GND terminal on bottom of relay strip
PCB 111, 115, or 118.
8. Connect Black wire of Back-up Machine Control Harness to Cool (Cool 2) terminal on bottom of relay
strip PCB 111, 115, or 118.
9. Installation Complete.

!! Warning
This setup will override main Controller and
open PowerTrak any time the Contact
Panel is in Back-up operation.
Recommendation: Use both stages of the back-up system with proper separation of fans as
needed. Connect Tunnel Fans on Cool 2. When opening a tunnel inlet, the relay strip connected
to the Back-up Machine Control Harness should be on Cool 2.
