STEP 8: INSTALL SIDE RAILS & CORNER BRACKETS
Note: fasten bolts to finger-tightness until the side-braces, brackets and side-rails are
all in place—this will allow you to make alignment adjustments if needed. Once all
parts are aligned and secure, tighten all bolts.
ASSEMBLE CORNER BRACKETS (with ramp mounts)
a. Thread a medium nut (U) onto the ramp-pin bolt (G). Tighten the nut to the
end of the thread where it borders the smooth surface of the pin-bolt.
b. Slide a flat-washer (W)) over the pin-bolt threads and position it flush
against the nut.
c. Twist the ramp-pin into the corner bracket (4) until the washer is flush with
the bracket; the ramp-pin will extend approximately 1/8” through the nut
welded onto the backside of bracket. You will need to use a wrench to fasten
the ramp-pin to the bracket.
INSTALL CORNER BRACKETS & SIDE RAILS
a. First, attach the corner bracket assemblies to the trailer’s rear corners. Use
1” bolts (J), small washers (I) and small lock-washers (H).
b. Install the retaining cables (Q) by looping them over the round knob on the
back of the bracket.
c. Slide the side-rail (3) opening over the knob on the back of the bracket. Lay
the side-rails alongside trailer so the bolt-tab on the side-rail lays snug with
the outside of the bolt tab on top of the fender. Fasten the side-rails to the
fenders using 1” bolt and nut. Do not fully tighten yet.
d. Ensure that the side-rail pin-slots are positioned in-between the pin-slots on
the trailer frame, and then insert the side-rail pins (F). Secure the pins with a
cotter-pin (K), and secure the cotter-pins by bending at least one leg to 90
degrees.
e. Repeat steps “a” and “b”, and “c” for the front corner bracket assembly and
retaining cable installation.
