Function Name Function
Closed Caption
Enable / Disable closed captioning. Closed caption is used to
visually communicate audio via text.
Tuner Source
Choose the type of RF input.
• Air - Normal over-the-air frequency
• Std (Cable) – Standard frequency used for cable TV
• IRC (Cable) – Incrementally Related Carrier
• HRC (Cable) – Harmonically Related Carrier
Auto Scan
Automatically scans the tuner’s range of frequencies for all
viewable channels.
Manual Scan
Manually input physical channel number(s) and search for
signal reception within that range.
Edit Channel
Displays the Main Channel List so that you can add / delete a
channel from the current list of viewable channels.
Favorite Channel
Displays the Main Favorite Channel List so that you can add /
delete a channel from the current list of viewable channels.
Parental Control
Displays the parental control menu, from which the user can
adjust what content can and cannot be seen on this TV. See
page 25 for more detail.
EPG
The electronic programming guide displays the list of available
channels and the corresponding channel information (start time,
end time, program title, program description)
