❚ Touch Panel Display Operation
The AVH-P7500DVD and AVH-P6500DVD AV headunits both come with a fully
motorised touch panel colour display. Their anti-glare screen surfaces are highly
readable and — thanks to Pioneer technology — fingerprint resistant as well. With
their easy-to-use interface, all you have to do is touch the screen to control almost
your entire in-car system. To give AV commands, such as selecting a chapter of a DVD-Video movie or
selecting a radio preset, simply push the
corresponding on-screen button. The superfast,
precision touch screen technology is also the perfect
partner for a Pioneer DVD Cyber Navi unit. Searching
for a destination or a POI (Point of Interest), or even
confirming a re-routing option, is simply done with the
touch of a finger. Functional has never been this
stunning.
When Pioneer says “cinema on wheels”, they mean it. The AVH-P7500DVD is equipped with built-in Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II
decoders to wrap you and your captive “audience” in rich 5.1-channel surround sound.
Dolby Digital and DTS are encoding technologies that offer dynamic 5.1-channel surround
sound of the purest quality. Dolby Pro Logic II is a great technology that produces surround
sound from 2-channel sources. This means you can enjoy 5.1-channel sound from stereo
encoded sources like the built-in D4Q Digital AM/FM tuner, CDs or MP3s. Full frequency
surround sound comes surging from six speakers: four regular side speakers, one dash-
mounted centre speaker* and a dedicated subwoofer channel for low frequencies. Pioneer is the first in the
industry to take complete advantage of Pro Logic II’s full features, including the innovative Movie, Music and
Matrix modes. Movie mode approximates the sound of Dolby Digital from Dolby Surround soundtracks. Music
mode creates a rich surround ambience from stereo sources. Matrix mode produces surround sound from
mono material.
