Doing more with your camera
AF Control
Choose an auto-focus setting.
Continuous AF (default for video)—because the camera 
is always focusing, there is no need to press the Shutter button 
halfway down to focus.
Single AF (default for pictures)—uses TTL-AF when the 
Shutter button is pressed halfway down.
NOTE: For the best pictures, the camera is set to Multi-zone when in
Landscape mode.
Focus Zone
Select a large or concentrated 
area of focus.
Multi-Zone (default)—evaluates 5 zones to give an even 
picture focus. Ideal for general picture taking.
Center-Zone—evaluates the small area centered in the lens. 
Ideal when you need precise focus.
Long Time Exposure
Choose how long the shutter 
stays open.
None (default) 
0.5, 0.6, 0.8, 1.0, 1.3, 1.6, 2.0, 2.5, 3.2, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, or 
8.0 seconds
Maintain Settings
Choose which settings are 
saved, even after the camera is 
turned off.
Available only in Auto mode.
Flash
White Balance
ISO Speed
Color Mode
Sharpness
Exposure Metering
Focus Zone
Reset to Default
Available only in SCN-Custom 
mode.
All picture-taking settings return to their default.
