Remote Control
VOL (volume) +/- Buttons
Press to adjust the TV sound level.
POWER Button
Press to turn the TV on or off.
Number Buttons
Press to select TV channels. For single-digit channels, press
the number of the channel you desire.The TV will pause
for a few seconds, then change to the selected channel.
CH (channel) +/– Buttons
Press to change TV channels.
CC Button
Press to select Closed Captions. Details are on page 19.
A/CH (alternate channel) Button
Press to switch between the current channel and the pre-
vious channel.
STATUS/EXIT Button
Press to see the channel number and the time on the
screen. Press to clear the screen after adjusting the con-
trols.
Cursor 89; - Buttons
Press to select or adjust menu items.
SLEEP Button
Press to set the TV to automatically turn itself off.

MENU Button
Press to access or remove the TV’s on-screen menu.
MUTE Button
Press to turn off or restore the TV sound.
CLOCK Button
Press to access the Clock menu, where you can set the
clock or the On-Timer. Details are on pages 15-18.
SURF Button
Press to select up to five previously viewed channels. Details
are on page 31.
SMART PICTURE Button
Press to select a Smart Picture option (factory-preset
picture controls for different types of video sources and
programs). Details are on page 29.
SMART SOUND Button
Press to control the volume level during program and
commercial changes.This provides a more even sound
level. Details are on page 30.
