Please Note: If you have already
charged your Power Wheels
® Type H
6 volt batteries for at least 18 hours,
you may want to install them in the
battery compartment before assem-
bling the hood. Please refer to the
6 Volt Battery Installation section on
page 26 for instructions.
• Fit the peg on one side of the hood
into one of the hood openings near
the base of the windshield area.
• Gently bend the hood to insert the
peg on the other side of the hood
into the opening on the other side
of the vehicle body.
• Lower the hood.

• Apply label #9 to the hood as
shown. Make sure the area where
the label will be applied is clean
and dry. For best adhesion, avoid
re-positioning the label once it
has been applied to the hood.
Please Note: For your convenience,
the airscoop has been pre-assem-
bled. If the airscoop has separated
into two pieces during shipment,
snap the “C” clips on the top half
of the airscoop onto the hinge bar
on the bottom half of the airscoop.
Then, snap the front tab on the top
half into the slot in the bottom half.
• Align the tab on the back of the
airscoop with the notch in the
hood opening and fit the
airscoop into the center of the
hood.
• Press firmly to snap the airscoop
into the hood.
