Customizing your Sony CLIÉ Handheld (Preferences)
Setting sounds
Your CLIÉ handheld uses a variety of sounds. The System, Alarm, and
Game Sound settings enable you to turn the sounds on or off, and to adjust
the volume level.
1
Tap General from the drop-down list on the Preferences
screen.
The General Preferences screen is displayed.
2
Tap the arrow V next to System Sound and select the desired
sound level or Off from the drop-down list.
When you turn the System Sound off, you also turn off the “chime” tones
associated with the HotSync
®
operation.
3
Tap the arrow V next to Alarm Sound and select the desired
sound level from the drop-down list.
4
Tap the arrow V next to Game Sound and select the desired
sound level or Off from the drop-down list.
The Game Sound setting works only with the games that are
programmed to respond to this setting.
